ECLOSION was Drago's entry and the winning build of the Fourth Kibo Competition held in 2022. In many ways 'ECLOSION’ is a study in the duality of change — a delicate balance of life and death, the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly, but most importantly a bloom of hope in perilous times. Made during the pandemic outbreak of 2022 we saw the world crumble. Yet as if looking through the caterpillar's very own eyes, we could feel change. Hope. As she tears herself free from the shell of the past, shimmering colors of life bloom around her. Within her lies a smoldering flower of ash and decay, a reminder of the dualities of change.
