December 20, 2024 - January 12, 2025
IP: kibo.buildersrefuge.com
Overview
The sixth year of the Kibo Competition is upon us, hosted generously by the Builders Refuge, and there are many new additions and changes to announce! Starting with the most important - Website submission of your plot will now be mandatory (at the bottom of this page). This will include an additional ‘Artist’s Idea Statement’ form to fill out which will help convey ideas better while streamlining and improving the judging process.
In other news the prize pool has been increased to $3,000, split over four placements, with an additional physical raffle item similar to that of the special Fifth Year Anniversary cup to be revealed on the 25th of December, 2024!
We hope everyone has had a great year and appreciate all the time and commitment put into every plot here at Kibo. Looking forward to an amazing sixth year, happy building!

Kibo is an Organics community, and therefore organics will be a central theme to this contest; architecture may play a secondary role in your project. The greater portion (70%+) of your piece must be presented through organics. This must be clear in your contest plot and points will be deducted if the plot is overwhelmingly architecture based.
351x351 plot size (Contestants do not need to fill the whole plot completely, however it should be clear what space is used).
Three (3) plots can be claimed. One for grading, the other two for asset creation. You may only submit one plot.
Solo Building only.
All judging to be done in vanilla textures. Players may set the time, biome, or any other vanilla preset.
The judging phase will start directly after the contest, and end within 10 days. The results will be posted in the Results tab at the bottom.
Schematica, importing, tracing or transferring of a pre-made build, block for block, is not allowed. All content submitted to the contest should be original, made only during the allotted build time using the tools provided on the Builders Refuge server.
A list of all tools available for use on the server. No other tools will be allowed.
